RAZR Hawk Fairway Review

The Callaway RAZR Hawk Fairway Woods are very likely the fairway wood most people expected to see when the latest iteration of Callaway's Diablo series came out. After all, forged composite is all the hype with the latest version of The Diablo Driver, and many people expected to see it on the accompanying fairway woods as well.

This was not meant to be just yet, as Callaway was busy coming out with several versions of The Razr Hawk Series from Irons, to Drivers, as well as fairway metals and hybrids. They couldn't afford to let anything steal the thunder from their latest release, as The RAZR Hawk series is the replacement for both the "X" Series of Irons and Woods as well as the "FT" line of Woods and Drivers. Whereas the Diablo Line is set up more for the "Grip It and Rip It" types within The Callaway Crowd, these will be more appealing to the "Techno-Kitsch" fans who enjoy the shop talk and all that goes with the latest technology.
Like the drivers in the new line, the Callaway RAZR Hawk Fairway Wood also use the Forged Composite material in the crown, saving weight and allowing center-of-gravity adjustments through the repositioning of that saved weight around the Callaway RAZR Hawk Fairway Wood head. Combined with Variable Face Technology, Callaway says, the result is high ball speeds and improved accuracy.
The aggressive VFT Technology in the Callaway RAZR Hawk Fairway Wood results in precision shaping of the face thickness in each club, increasing the size of the sweet spot. The Callaway RAZR Hawk Fairway Wood generates hotter ball speeds for longer distance.
The Callaway RAZR Hawk Fairway Wood also features Tour-Inspired Styling. Each club has a stainless steel face and sole in a traditional shape with a full length hosel that appeals to a broad range of players.
The RAZR Hawk fairway woods are traditionally shaped with full-length hosels. The clubs come in 13-, 15-, 18- and 21-degree models (3, 3+, 5 and 7 woods); the 15 and 18 in both RH/LH, the other two in right-handed only.
Most players have to deal with the inaccuracies of their swing and Callaway has come up with the solution to fixing those pesky little inaccuracies with the new Callaway RAZR Hawk Fairway Wood. The new Callaway RAZR Hawk Fairway Wood is dead straight and it controls the side spin often caused by those inaccuracies. I usually have a slight draw or fade when I hit any wood and these fairways have helped me nail the straightest lines I have ever seen. If you want a dependable straight fairway wood then look no farther, however if distance is your forte then these probably will not give you much more straight line than what you are currently hitting.
